Project: #24 Creality Enclosure
PrintableAccessories Modular Printer Enclosure.
Beginning in early January I began one of my largest print projects to date. What started my journey down this road was a desire to start Laser engraving with my Ender 3 S1 Pro. Just before Christmas 2023, I picked up the Creality Laser Engraver kit for a really good deal off of their website and I have been itching to use it. The problem is that the engraver causes a good deal of smoke when burning wood and even more so when burning into acrylic. I searched the internet for ideas on building one myself and ran into numerous DIY projects that would suit my purposes. All of them had their pros and cons, but none were truely modular, and none of them were cheap. I found the perfect answer to my problem on Kickstarter. I wrote about my findings in my blog. I am currently printing the individual components for the top frame in PETG-CF Midnight Blue which I got on Amazon. I found that using the Sprite Extruder and this type of filament led to clogging issues. After a great deal of troubleshooting, I figured out the issue; Nozzle temp. Once that was repaired, the prints began rolling out hassle-free. The layers even look neater and cleaner with this nozzle. What a great product to use.
I am going to continue to update here as I progress through the fabrication stage of this project. If you are interested in purchasing anything that I use, please support the page and use my affiliate links in the store.
